On October 26, 2023, the Ogun Digital Summit, the largest digital technology event in Ogun State, Nigeria, was held at the Providence Event Centre. The summit, hosted by Godsend Osas and Calista Adebayo, has consistently championed youth empowerment, technology entrepreneurship, and social innovation, making it a beacon of progress and inspiration within the region.
This year’s edition featured a keynote address by Odunayo Eweniyi and Joshua Chibueze, co-founders of Piggyvest, as well as panel discussions on a range of topics, including building a startup in the 21st century, what investors look for in startups, and the impact of AI and Web3 on the future of work.

Ibukun Adeleke, Chief Investment Officer of Emergence Capital, spoke about what investors look for in startups. He advised startups to focus on building a strong team, developing a viable product or service, and demonstrating market traction.

Harrison Obiefule, Co-lead Superteam DAO, Olubunmi Fabanwo, Affiliate Program Manager from Binance; Raheem Yusuf, Vice President of AFEX; and Abiola Odetola, Special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State on Job Creation and Youth Empowerment, discussed the impact of AI and Web3 on the future of work in a panel session. They agreed that these technologies are poised to revolutionize the way we work and live and that they also bring new challenges and opportunities.
The summit also featured a scholarship program, with Grazac Academy, the organizers of the event, awarding N1 million worth of scholarships to students.
